Information technology works only it could be much meliorate
It works. Not well. Not terrible. Just works. Not a compliment.
This affair is slow to respond to commands. Very boring. It will do it, but information technology can take from xxx seconds to several minutes to respond to a command. At that point you are seriously questioning if it actually received your control. This makes using the smart plug to turn your sleeping accommodation lights off annoying at all-time and frustrating to no end at worst. It makes information technology so I never use the app to unlock my door or lock my door.
It does still piece of work though. It does a good job of creating automations for the thermostat then I can regulate the temperature of the house based on the time of twenty-four hours. At that place'south no fashion to set an abroad style though and so it doesn't modify temperature when we leave the house. I made a Siri shortcut for locking and unlocking the door but that only works from my telephone and again it's very tedious.
No Apple Watch back up or Apple tree home back up. It would be really great to have one or the other. Either would permit me to send commands through my watch which would make the convenience cistron much ameliorate.
Besides that it isn't a broken app merely the framework it's based on isn't swell. I'm stuck with information technology so I'm glad it at least works.
What a waste product
Z-Moving ridge? Actually? My landlord made my flat "smart" with a door lock, thermostat, and some inexpensive plug in controller. The thermostat won't stay connected, the plug in rarely works. The door lock is the but reliable affair in this "smart" system. I have used bodily smart home equipment from thermostats to cameras and smoke detectors that really worked. With this system you get no notifications when your door locks or unlocks. The only notification the lock sends is when the lock "jams". About the dumbest "smart" system I've ever used. I all the same have to get upwards and manually change the thermostat. Right now information technology's set to heat, even so the app shows the ac is still set. And for all this smart applied science I'yard paying a $x fee added to my lease. Afterwards the first yr I figure I will have paid for this pointless and otherwise useless equipment.

Not great just has potential
My flat installed the new lock and thermostat controlled by this app four days ago. The start day the thermostat didn't work at all and simply gave the selection to turn it off, but customer support rebooted information technology and information technology now works. Complaints I have so far relate to the displayed temperature in the app (always says 79 when the thermostat is turned off, even if the thermostat itself says something different) and the door lock condition not beingness accurate. I haven't seen information technology say information technology was locked when information technology was actually unlocked, simply it seems like every morning or overnight it resets and says it'southward unlocked even though it's locked. Currently works to lock/unlock door and change thermostat setting, which is nice, but I would absolutely dearest this app if it worked without outcome.
